Mit Unterstützung des NABU Kreis Euskirchen und der Firma GalaBau André Ziemons wurde ein Teil eines Steinbruchs und eine Weidefläche bei Haus Eichen in der Gemeinde Hellenthal freigestellt: Hier war alles mit Ginster und anderen Gehölzen zugewachsen.
